Finally get to play after a 31-day break. Jays put up 5 in the 6th to take the lead. Evans 2-run single in the 7th is the game winner. Hamberg 2-4,2RBI; Rosanski 2RBI. Duncan gets the win in relief.
Blue Jays: 
A back and fourth battle right to the very end. Jays bats were hot but too many walks and HBPs give the Bulls ample opportunity and they took it. Can't wait for the rematch.

Not a good night for the Pirates bats did start to wake up but couldn't muster any runs. We gave up 2 dingers to the left field woods. Yankees played great game.

Highlights - Blue Jays: 
Another offensively lacking game for the Jays. Kron had a DEEP double to left-center, scoring Bryson from first base. Pribble and Smith each with 2 BBs. Again, too many walks and a couple of perfectly timed bloop hits for the Braves give them the W.
Braves: 
Ralph gives us a quality start giving up only 2 in 4 1/3. Delois 1-2 3 rbi's. Mike Reynolds 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Cornett and Miller with 2 runs scored each at top of lineup. Oakes 2-2 with 2 walks. Great outfield plays by Cornett and Arnold.

Kirkys 3 run HR in 3rd big blow in Hooks win. 4 Pitchers combine for 17 k's. Trester and Kirky each with 3 hits.
Mets: 
Mets can't overcome rough 1st-Dowty and Jarrett pitch 4 scoreless in relief. Williams and Mefford combine for 4 hits, 4 SB and 2RBIs. Engram adds a 2B, 1B and R. Velazquez has a 2B and RBI. McDermitt, Jarrett, and Coleman also collect their first hits.

Highlights - Pirates: 
Game started out rough for the Pirates. The Brewers were able to start adding a few runs it seemed almost every inning. The Pirates were finally able to start getting runs added on 4th. Then in the in the 8th were able to put up 7 runs in an inning. This
Brewers: 
Another glorious day at the "dream crusher". Fearless leader Kim Scott Un launched 6 grand slams in 3 AB as the mighty Brewers defeated the Pirates by -4 runs. Such a demoralizing non-loss will haunt them for the rest of the season!

Missing 5 starters from last year for first game. Meridians came to play and are much improved both pitching and hitting. One bright spot was newbie, Zaidel, pitching 2 shutout innings with 4 K's in mop up duty.

Kroell with 6IP, 7K, 2H, 0ER and 2-3, 2 RBI & HBP at the plate. Meridians rookie Etscheid 1-1, 2BB, 2SB and stylish HBP bat flip. Reese with 3IP Save, 2K, 2H (RBI, 2 SB) - Aultman 2H, 2R

Rangers: 
Call us the Rusty Rangers. Hung in there against some tough pitching. Brege, Adams and Robbins with a hit, Vogelsang 2-4. Robbins with ESPN highlite catch in left against the fence.

DeerField: 
Bang out 14 hits, hitting with RISP the big problem. Cardnas 3-4, Madsen 3-4 (debut), Morton 2-3, Hoeffler 2-3 Fuller 2-4 2B. Kemp, Boyle, Hoeffler all pitch shutout innings. Johnson solid D at shortstop. Chief 9 solid innings catching

Bulls: 
Tough loss. The pitching depth looks promising as Rosell, welcome-back Schaffer, and new Bull Brothers limit the Suds to 4 hits. Duncan 2-3, got the only hits. We didnt get a runner past 1st base.
